I swear its always something on this trip. My phone had been giving me strife about lacking storage space for a little while, but I awoke to the dire warnings of it lacking so much space that it can no longer function correctly. As is the way with old phones (by old, I mean it’s four years old, because apparently that’s old these days), it wasn’t full of photos or apps; it was full of all the stupid little update files from over the years that fill it until it stops functioning.

The time had come where I couldn’t put off the inevitable of having to buy a new phone before this one just conked it one day. That being said, I could have done with this occurring somewhere that wasn’t an hour or so away from the nearest retailer of semi-affordable, not top of the range, or on contract phones. We couldn’t even just wait till we moved closer to civilisation, because our next week was going to be spent within the isolation of Kangaroo Island.

The most pressing issue, however, was that we had things planned for our day, and taking two to three hours out of our schedule was going to make things tight. Still, there was nothing for it.
