For the first time since our foray into exploring Australia began, we finally decided to give ourselves a dedicated rest day. What was the tell-tale sign that we needed one? Well, the fact that I’d slept for over ten hours that night was probably a bit of a give away. Unfortunately for you, that means I don’t have any fascinating stories to share with you about our three hundred and sixty seventh day.

No, the most exciting part of our day was dropping into the local ice creamery before buying groceries for dinner. Outside of that, my day was filled with eating the left-over picnic food for lunch, having a scaldingly hot shower, and enjoying the warmth of the heater in the camp kitchen while we allowed ourselves the luxury of leisure activities. That’s right, I actually managed to fit in a solid few hours of sewing and it was glorious.
