With the stress of the book launch behind us, we were free to continue our adventure once more, packing the car and setting off on a sunny Saturday morning to begin the seven hour drive that would deliver us to a starting point on the east coast of New South Wales. Given the length of the drive, it should not surprise you to learn that there isn’t overly much to tell you about day three hundred and seventy six of our journey. The hours passed us by to the sounds of the stereo, my partner driving, and me replying to a million Facebook comments I had managed to get on the book baby photos I’d posted on a few of the author pages I follow on behalf of our page. The only stops were for petrol, bathroom breaks, and to eat the lunch we had sensibly packed.

They had, luckily, agreed to provide another replacement but with no fixed address, organising it was proving frustrating, and I was still yet to receive the postage label so that I could send them my computer free of charge. By the time I tucked myself into bed, it was with the hope that the next day would provide far less stress and far more adventure.

Awoken by the soft glow of morning light, we stepped out of the tent to a day brimming with all the benefits of spring despite it still being the middle of winter. The sun…
