Our three hundred and seventieth day brought with it the promise of nothing but travel. As such, I will not bore you with the tedious details. I will simply tell you that the day involved packing up the tent for what felt like the millionth time, bidding a fond farewell to my partner’s family, making the hour and a half drive back into Victoria to Mallacoota, and setting up camp all over again.
Outside of the logistical aspects, my evening was whiled away with sorting out a slew of things for the book launch, having a shower, and writing a blog. The day may have been less than exciting, but at least there were no dramas to make our cruisy day any less cruisy.

With our mini-break in Merimbula done and dusted, we rose to the sounds of Mallacoota’s local birdlife and jumped straight back into the rigors of full time travel. And what better way to ease ourselves back into things than by *checks notes* hiking up to the summit of a mountain. Yeah, that sounds like a fantastic idea.
Packing our lunch, we set off towards the tiny town of Genoa, turning down the Genoa Peak track, and bumbling our way along the potholed road until we reached the parking area.
